Located at 1402 N Main St, Rockford, IL 61103, The Norwegian operates as an other place serving Rockford in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under breakfast restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Places that do not fit a cafe, bakery, tea, breakfast or nearby-store category land here: tourist attractions, parks and museums with a cafe on site, and unrelated businesses that came in through an import or a Google Maps match. Attraction cafes usually keep the venue's hours and may require admission to reach, so check before making the trip; park kiosks and museum coffee counters are often seasonal. Other listings are kept so that an old address or phone number still resolves and can be re-filed into the right category later.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7:30 am–1:30 pm. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (815) 329-6191. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is thenorwegian.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Glad I made reservations for a Saturday breakfast spot, it was definitely busy! We had to wait for a bit before we were seated. I ordered The Sarah, and my dad ordered the Benedict, and we also got Γ†bleskiver (3 of the pancake balls) to split. We felt like we waited a loooong time for the food, probably over 30 minutes. But once the food came it was delicious! The smashed potatoes were really excellent and salty. And the raspberry jam was so fresh and fruity. The bacon was a little too crispy for my taste but it was good. The Γ†bleskiver were delicious and I love them with the syrup. My dad enjoyed his Benedict, but I did taste the hollandaise sauce and it had a very odd flavor. It’s like a lemony/acidic fishy taste? Not sure what they put in it but it doesn’t taste as I would expect. Also not sure why it comes with an absurd amount of lettuce instead of something normal like potatoes. Anyways, I have always loved their food from Snomarket and was glad I could try their brunch as well.

The food was so good, the dip they came with the sea board was so smoky and flavorful. The mushroom melt really did melt in your mouth, and all the fish was fresh and delicious. I would definitely come again if I am in the area

Always the best food and service at The Norwegian. Highly recommend making reservations with time, I did not this time but got lucky with some open spots available at the bar. I tried their blueberry pomegranate mimosa, their pancake balls (they have a different name but can’t remember the name) and salmon quiche, all a 10/10. Love coming here for breakfast anytime I’m in town. Their in-house hot sauces are also worth trying!

My first experience here. I took my wife out on a date night and had a great time. The drink specials were really good. I had the braised beef and my wife had the shrimp. Both tasted wonderful. We followed it up with the eggnog creme brulee and a couple lattes. Everything was wonderful!

Came here with my friend & they said they had tried to eat here about 5 diff times & they never got in! Apparently it's best if u have a reservationπŸ€·πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ Thankfully we just walked in & there was availability it was about 1pm on Friday afternoonπŸ˜… I did see at night or late day you'll always need reservation to get in. I liked the decor, there wasn't much room for seating inside & there's an outside area as well which would be nice on warmer nights. I did see smokers🚬 outside so if that's not your thing beware The food was decent & the prices were average for restaurant. Big parking lot in back & I really liked that okay area for toddlersπŸ€— Kinda have off hippie vibes which I thought was cool & it's a nice area for family, friends, date or even business
